With just under a month to go until the first LCCOS staff conference the committee has been working hard to finalise the programme so watch this space for further details including announcement of our keynote speaker.

A big thanks to everyone who has offered to take part by producing a digital poster, video or delivering a lightning talk. It was great to get contributions from across LCCOS so that we can showcase the range of work that takes place across our teams.

This year’s theme is ‘Welcome to LCOSS’ and it has been great to have colleagues from across LCCOS on the conference committee. Whilst this year’s conference is online we hope that people will get an opportunity to meet new colleagues virtually. To meet the lovely people behind this year’s conference see our Meet the Committee page – if you have any questions about the conference or just want to say hi then please do get in touch.

Save the date

Hello LCCOS colleagues!
Welcome to the blog for the Library, Culture, Collections and Open SciCalendar showing month of July, succulent plantsence staff conference for 2022 where we'll be sharing updates on what you can expect from this year's conference.

Date: Thursday 14 July 2022
Time: 13:00-17:00
Venue: Online via Teams

Please save the date - we're looking forward to seeing you on the day.

This year's theme is "Welcome to LCCOS" to celebrate the coming together of teams from Library, Culture, Collections and Open Science and we will be exploring the work of those teams to help us all get to know each other a bit better.

Please subscribe to this blog (on the right hand side) for more updates on the conference, including upcoming news on our keynote speakers and a chance to meet the committee.

Volunteers wanted for lightning talks, posters and videos

Do you have a project or an aspect of your role in LCCOS that you'd like to share? Does your team do something people might not be aware of or have you changed the way you work?

Then why not apply to deliver a lightning talk at the conference, a short and informal presentation of up to 10 minutes. You can also apply to create something digital such as a poster or a short video if you would prefer. Digital posters can be in a variety of formats so if you're looking for some inspiration, you can look at last year's posters.

We are looking to represent as many different areas of LCCOS and types of roles as possible - we're especially interested in presentations that showcase cross-working between different LCCOS teams. To apply to present a lightning talk or create a digital poster or video, please fill out this form by Friday 10 June:

Apply to present a lightning talk or create a digital poster or video

If you'd like to know more about presenting a lightning talk or creating a digital poster or video, especially if it's something you haven't done before, but you would like to get involved, please email Aanchal Bhatt on aanchal.bhatt@ucl.ac.uk.
