The UCL SSEES library collection of business and economics journals is available online and can be accessed via Explore by registered members of UCL. Search for journal titles and journal articles in Explore or in specialist databases. Many journals and newspapers published in Eastern and Central Europe can be accessed with Nexis. To find a journal title in Explore simply enter the title and select “Journal titles” from the drop down menu to the right of the search window. UCL SSEES library provides access to both print and electronic versions of academic journals. To discover which version is available check the library catalogue. Printed journals are arranged alphabetically on the lower ground floor of the SSEES library. Previous years' holdings of heavily used journals are retained on the rolling shelves on the lower ground floor but some lesser-used journals and newspapers may be held in other locations. Journals with a STORES location can be requested via Explore or from the Stores Service. Examples include: Current politics and economics of Russia, Eastern and Central Europe, and South-Eastern Europe Journal of Economics.
SSEES Library has subscriptions to a wide range of newspapers from Central and Eastern Europe, in English as well as in the language of the publishing country. Most of our subscriptions are electronic, but we also have a number of paper subscriptions. Some titles are available on microfiche or microfilms. Issues of the current year are kept in the Current Periodicals Section on the lower ground floor. Back issues are kept at UCL Stores and once requested can be delivered to the library within one working day. SSEES library's collection of newspapers with nationwide coverage includes the main daily newspapers from the countries studied by the school. Examples include: Mladá fronta dnes, Rzeczpospolita, The Moscow times.
SSEES library provides access to many journals published by professional organisations, institutions and societies covering the subjects of business, economics and statistics. Central and Eastern European statistical institutions often publish, open access journals, in English and in the language of publishing country. Examples include: Polish Central Statistical Office's journal Przegląd Statystyczny (Statistical Review), Czech's Statistika, Statistic and Economy Journal, and Russian Voprosy Statistiki. British Economic Association publishes The Economic Journal and The Econometrics Journal.
SSEES Library has a number of print and electronic magazine subscriptions. If you are looking for a magazine, start your search with UCL Explore. Printed magazines are held in the Current Periodicals section on the Lower Ground Floor of the library. Examples include: Ogonek, Polityka, Élet és irodalom : irodalmi és politikai hetilap.

Sometimes you will see a link to the publisher's site. Unless the article is open access, you might find that you can't reach the full-text.
Clicking on the Findit@UCL link instead will link you to the full-text via UCL's subscription access, if available.
If you're using Google Scholar you can set up the Library Links feature so that it will display a findit@UCL link to help show you which articles are available via UCL subscriptions.

Every item ever printed in the paper, from 1888-2010, can be searched and browsed article by article and page by page.

UCL has an amazing collection of e-resources, but no library can have full-text access to everything. If you identify a piece of information that would be beneficial to your research, the library will try and source a copy for you via the Inter Library Loans service.You can make a request by logging into UCL Explore and then clicking on the three dots 'show more' menu to access the Inter Library Loan Request form.
