Books and e-books

A brief guide to finding and accessing e-books via UCL Explore.

How can you tell if a book is available online?

On UCL Explore, you can look at the results of your search to quickly discover if a book is available in print or/and online: View Online means that the book is available electronically, while Available means that the book is available in print. In some cases a book is available both in print and online.

You  will find many of the print books you need for your study in the Science Library on Malet Place, but you may also find books are located at other UCL libraries, especially Main Library in the Wilkins building. Currently a click and collect service is in place for books in the Science Library and other library sites and you can request books via UCL Explore but please check our website for service updates.
You can access all the other UCL libraries with your UCL card but please check the relevant library's webpage for the latest service updates and opening hours.
