Evidence shows that library and information literacy skills teaching is much more effective when integrated into a student's academic programme, providing support for relevant skills development at the time it is needed.

Teaching staff are encouraged to liaise with their subject specialist librarian to develop bespoke library skills teaching for your students.

The LibrarySkills@UCL framework illustrates the library skills, knowledge and behaviours that students may be encouraged to attain at varying stages of their journey at UCL. It can help form the basis for deciding on skills to incorporate into your teaching in liaison with your specialist librarian.
