Visiting the library

As a member of staff at UCLH, when you join the Library, you’ll receive a card that gives you access to all UCL library sites.  Please complete our online membership form in advance of your first visit.

  • You’ll be assigned a home library where there will be a dedicated library team available to support you.
  • Your home libraries are the Cruciform Hub or the Queen Square Library.

The Cruciform Hub

The Cruciform Hub is a modern library space with a collection covering the subjects of clinical medicine, nursing, midwifery, allied health, dentistry and oral health. The Hub has around 250 study spaces with dedicated areas for quiet focus or collaborative group work.

IT Facilities

  • Eight UCLH networked PCs and printing facilities.
  • Docking stations with large monitors which you can connect your laptop to via USB-C cables which are provided.
  • Guest Wi-Fi available for NHS members.

Queen Square Library

The Library contains an important collection of specialist neurology, neurosurgery and neuroscience books and journals, together with some general medical and biomedical literature, as well as housing Queen Square Archives. The Library has around 30 spaces for quiet study.
