UCL staff and students can apply directly for reference access.

The British Museum Library collection includes more than 300,000 volumes. The collection is in the nine study spaces of Africa, Oceania and the Americas, Asia, Britain, Europe and Prehistory including Horology, Coins and Medals, Egypt and Sudan, Greece and Rome, Middle East, Prints and Drawings, and Conservation and Scientific Research.

The Combined Library of the Institute of Classical Studies and the Hellenic and Roman Societies has excellent collections on Greek & Roman archaeology.

has strong collections in languages, the arts and social and historical sciences. Any registered member of UCL can join the library and borrow from there. You can pre-register online

The SOAS Library (School of Oriental and African Studies) has excellent collections for African, Asian and Middle East materials. It is available for reference use by an member of UCL, but only academic staff and research postgraduates may borrow.

The Society of Antiquaries of London Library located in Burlington House (London W1J 0BE), covering archaeology (especially British), architectural history and the decorative arts and older works of British local history, British county archaeological and record society publications.

The Warburg Institute Library for an interdisciplinary approach to the history of the reception of the classical tradition.
