Critical appraisal of a systematic review: checklists

Most of the time, critical appraisal is done by using an appropriate checklist.

There are many different types of checklists out there, including for appraisal of systematic reviews

CASP Checklists
Critical Appraisal Skills Programme (CASP) developed in Oxford in 1993 with the aim of disseminating an evidence-based approach in health and social care, working with local, national and international partner organisations.
SIGN Checklists
Scottish Intercollegiate Guidelines Network, produces evidence-based guidelines, and developed critical appraisal checklists, as well.
CEBM Critical Appraisal Tools
Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine (CEBM) was established by Professor John Geddes in Oxford, as a part of a national network of centres focussing on evidence-based medicine.
