Making research outputs discoverable

UCL Discovery Plus for NHS staff
UCL Discovery is an open access repository. Staff at UCL’s partner NHS Trusts can use UCL Discovery Plus to make their publications freely available online (copyright permitting) - including articles, datasets, conference proceedings, book chapters, working papers, reports and more. Open access can maximise the visibility of research and papers deposited here will be found by a Google search, as well as by searching the repository directly.
BMJ Case Reports
UCL subscribes to BMJ Case Reports, an award winning journal that delivers a focused, peer-reviewed, valuable collection of cases in all disciplines so that healthcare professionals, researchers and others can easily find clinically important information on common and rare conditions.
UCL's partner NHS Trusts, authors wishing to submit an article to BMJ Case Reports for publication should contact their site library for the relevant fellowship code.
Create an ORCiD ID
ORCiD provides a free, persistent digital identifier that you own and control, and that distinguishes you from every other researcher.
You can connect your ORCiD identifier with your professional information — publications, affiliations, grants, peer review, and more. You can use your identifier to share your information with other systems, ensuring you get recognition for all your contributions, saving you time, and reducing the risk of errors.

Open Science is focused on inclusive approaches to producing, curating, disseminating and evaluating research. The UCL Library Services website includes a wealth of information on open science. Communicating and disseminating research

Once you have published some research, you will want to make sure that it is read, and that it reaches those who can make use of the results or conclusions of the research.
