Mendeley Desktop

You may attach files to your references, such as a PDF of the full text article. See Adding references. If a reference has a file attachment this will be indicated by an icon in the main window.

Double click on any reference with a PDF attachment, and the PDF will open in a new tab. You can then annotate the PDF:

• Use the tools at the top of the page to select and highlight text, add a sticky note, change the colour of the highlighter, and navigate around the document.
• If you add a sticky note you will also be able to view it in the Notes tab next to the Details tab in the right pane.
• To return to your library simply close the tab.
