The Library Resources block links to one or more reading lists in their entirety.
Read on to learn more about the Library Resources block - how you can add it if it is not displaying and how to configure its settings if you need to do this.
Navigate to Moodle and find your course.
Click on the arrow icon, at the top right, to open the block drawer and reveal the Library Resources block.
Once it is revealed, it will remain visible and students will be able to click on the links to your reading list(s) or exam papers.
If the Library Resources block is not visible it may mean that you have to install the block. Toggle on edit mode at the top of the Moodle page and it will turn blue. You will then see an option to add a block. Select Library Resources from the add block drop-down menu.
You can also configure the block by clicking on the cog wheel icon.
Please follow the next set of instructions if you need to configure the Library Resources block.
Click on Configure Library Resources block from the cog wheel icon drop-down menu.
You will see the default reading list code. This is the module code for the course. It is pulled in from Portico.
If the default reading list link within the Library Resources block is not working you can use the Additional Reading option. Untick Display under your default reading list, and choose the option for Additional Reading List 1.
You can also use Additional Reading Lists if you have other reading lists associated with your course, or you have a non-Portico based code. Please note, you have to enter the additional reading lists code in lower case. You can add up to five additional reading lists. Remember to tick Display for every additional reading list you wish to add.
Scroll down and click Save Changes. This will close the Configure Library Resources block settings menu.
