The Web of Science group also produce additional resources for more in depth bibliometric analysis through the InCites platform, including InCites, Journal Citation Reports (JCR) and Essential Science Indicators.

InCites
UCL has a subscription, but an individual registration is required to create a password for access. InCites is a citation-based evaluation tool to analyze institutional productivity and benchmark research output in a national or international context. See below for introductory videos.

InCites: Part 1 - Introduction
This video shows you how to log into InCites, and gives a quick overview of the various parts of the service - analyses, reports, and datasets.

InCites: Part 2 - Basic analyses
This video shows you how to use the InCites analysis interface, and works through an example of a simple analysis in the organisations view, showing how to filter the analysis by type of institution, type of publication, subject areas, and collaborating institutions. It also shows how to download results sets.

InCites: Part 3 - Further analyses and indicators
This video shows you how to do more complex analyses, including viewing all collaborating institutions for a single source institution. It discusses the various indicators available including the category-normalised citation impact (CNCI), top 1% and top 10%, and international collaboration rates. It also shows how to work with the research areas analysis view.

InCites part 5 - MyOrganisation
