Inkpath is the system used by the DSDP / Researcher Development Programme for doctoral students to log their learning. It also requests some basic feedback from students on the sessions attended.
Doctoral students need the Inkpath code to log their attendance on the Doctoral School system so the code needs to be shared at the end of the live session. Trainers should follow the Inkpath URL for that session and display the resulting web page at the end of their online session, sharing the screen so that students can scan the QR code. Trainers should not paste the URL into the chat or share it by email.
If you haven't received the Inkpath link by email by the day before your session, contact Sabrina or Angela.
The process for administering Inkpath is as follows:
- Once all sessions for the term have been set up in LibCal and marked as such on the scheduling spreadsheet, Angela sends details in a specifcally-formatted Excel spreadsheet to the DSDP / Researcher Development Programme administrator who adds them to Inkpath, The Inkpath record links to LibCal for students to book on our sessions. It is preferred that we send details all at once for the term, but if some sessions are scheduled late we can send additional dates.
- The Inkpath system automatically sends the Inkpath codes for individual sessions to the Library Skills inbox (received via LibAnswers) a few days before the event.. This is then forwarded to the lead trainer.
If students report problems with their Inkpath account or logging their attendance, they should email doc skills: docskills@ucl.ac.uk.
If you have any problems accessing the code, please liaise with Angela or Sabrina.
