Library Skills: live online training guide

Guidance, best practices and suggestions on how to design and deliver live online library skills training.

Feedback surveys

We are using LibWizard to obtain feedback from all our live at part of our scheduled bookable sessions.

The trainers for each session should agree who will create the LibWizard survey for the event and create the URL following the Feedback surveys guidance. For the LibrarySkills@UCL Scheduled Programme of sessions (advertised in LibCal), please follow the instructions for using the LibarySkills@UCL Synchronous training feedback survey.

Trainers should copy the unique URL for the session, paste it into the chat at the end of the session and encourage students to complete it. Please note that response rates are much higher when attendees are asked to complete feedback forms in the live session, but only if there is enough time remaining, if the trainer promotes it and if the link doesn't got lost in amongst other chat messages. If you do not receive many feedback responses immediately after the event, you may like to send a followup email (see Contacting attendees after the event).

As doctoral students also submit some feedback via Inkpath, you could mention that doctoral students don’t have to complete both, but they are welcome to do so.
