Microsoft Sway is a presentation tool, which can be used as an alternative to PowerPoint but as the viewer can scroll through the content at their own pace it makes an ideal tool for self-paced learning. There is rich media integration, which allows for visually engaging content.
Microsoft Sway integrates with the Microsoft Office suite. In order to incorporate interactive content and assessment for learning, you can embed quizzes created in Microsoft Forms.
Videos can be embedded in Sway from OneDrive / Stream (on Sharepoint), but are only then visible to the UCL community. If embedding videos, you are advised to also include a link to the video that can be viewed by anyone. See Hosting and sharing your video within Microsoft Stream.
You can easily duplicate existing Sways, including ones authored by other people, to adapt for your own use. Examples of Sways from LCCOS colleagues are included in the Induction Sharing tab in the Library Skills Teams site.
